I'm a California Momma, born and raised. I have one son, Jared, He's 14 years old,.(TEENAGER) I share him every other week with his dad. We split up after Jared was 5 years old, and actually have gotten along much better. I live in the beautiful city of Riverside, in the heart of the Art Museums and Culture. I am happily committed and live with the love of my life, Jon. Together we enjoy movies, camping, fishing, swimming, BBQ's, and family life. I am a stay at home mom, launching my own business, designing blog pages and other web sites. I also paint and sell customized paintings.

Your most precious "mom" moment:

I'm a mother of a teenage boy who was born with congenital birth defect. He was born with a Hypo-Plastic right lung, an Atrial septal defect (hole in his heart) Paralyzed right diaphragm, and Esophageal reflux. Wow! After countless nights and days in the hospital, endless doctor visits, and 3 major surgeries later, he is practically %100 better. Talk about a reason to grow up and become responsible and mature. I was 19

As a mother, the thing you struggle with most:

When I realized that every decision I make impacts my son, whether I want it to or not. Oh and patience, and being strong and keeping my foot down. I give into too easily because I don't want hurt his feelings, but when he misbehaves or lies, I need to be stronger and stick with the punishment I give him.

What worries you?

The other kids at his school. He is in Junior High and I don't know what he can be exposed to, and even that he will be made fun of or picked on because of his medical problems..

What do you do to pamper yourself?

I have my "Momma Time" and just get to relax with my paints and just zone out for a few hours. Lately I dive into my laptop and just create designs and layouts for backgrounds.

Mothering aside, what are you really great at?

I am great at painting, blogging, talking, laughing and loving. I have a knack for anything creative. I have designed jewelry, I have taken scrap booking out of the albums and onto the walls, cooked meals good enough for the Food Network, and made art good enough to hang on any collectors wall. I am great at loving my family!
